Supplier presets: what each one needs from you

A preset only prefills fields. It is a starting point, not a locked configuration: the picker is labelled Start from and says so directly, "A preset prefills the fields below. You can still edit every one of them."

Pick a preset in the Supplier section of the Connect a supplier wizard. An info banner headed "Prefilled from the name preset" then explains what was filled in, and the preset's own fields (base URL, keys, sign in details) appear underneath. Everything further down the wizard, including the endpoint, the records path and every mapping row, stays editable. Run Test connection before you save: it fetches a sample and dry-runs the mapping without writing anything.

Every real supplier preset is read-only. Everstock reads stock from them and writes to your Shopify store, never the other way round. Only the Demo feed accepts a write-back push. The picker carries one more supplier preset than this page covers, plus Manual configuration for any REST feed with no preset at all.

BigBuy

Auth is Bearer token. You supply an API key, which is self-serve from your BigBuy control panel. The API base URL starts on BigBuy's sandbox (api.sandbox.bigbuy.eu), so switch it to api.bigbuy.eu when you go live.

Two things to know. BigBuy publishes a limit of 10 requests per hour on this endpoint, so run this connection hourly at most. And BigBuy reports stock in handling-time buckets. The prefilled quantity adds every bucket together, so it is the total BigBuy has, including units that take longer to ship. Run Test connection to see the buckets on a sample row, and if you only want the faster ones, point the quantity row at a single bucket.

Lipsey's

Auth is Login exchange (sign in for a token). You supply your Lipsey's account email and Lipsey's account password for your dealer account. One prefilled value is worth knowing about: "Token field in the response (optional)" starts at token, and if the sign in comes back without a token, set it to data.token.

Lipsey's only accepts calls from approved domains and IP addresses, so ask us for our addresses and submit them on Lipsey's access form before your first sync. Without that, every call comes back as not authorized. The feed refreshes at most once an hour, so hourly is as often as it is worth running. The price in this feed is your dealer cost, not a retail price, so leave Sync price off unless you have deliberately decided otherwise. Lipsey's also publishes a minimum advertised price per item, and your dealer agreement may require you to respect it.

Sports South

Auth is API key in the query string. You supply the Customer number, User name, Password and Source your Sports South rep gave you. The response format is XML.

One value you finish yourself. Sports South does not publish the shape of its response wrapper, so "Records path (optional)" starts empty on purpose. Run Test connection, look at the parsed response it shows you as a single row, then set the records path to the element that repeats once per item. This feed also returns the whole catalogue in one response, so give it room and do not schedule it more often than you need. The price here is what you pay, not a retail price.

Kinsey's

Auth is API key header. You supply the Kinsey's API key issued by your rep, and the preset sends it in the header their service expects.

This preset carries no field mapping of its own. Kinsey's does not publish its response field names, so guessing them would be invention. The mapping rows you see are the wizard's ordinary starting point, where each field points at a path of the same name, so treat them as placeholders rather than as Kinsey's real fields. Run Test connection first, then repoint every row at the sample rows it returns. "Records path (optional)" starts empty too, so set it if your rows arrive inside a wrapper. Their catalog endpoint and their FTP quantity feed are not part of this preset.

Turn 14 Distribution

Auth is OAuth2 client credentials. You supply a Client ID and Client secret, generated in the Turn 14 dealer portal under Settings & Data, then the API tab.

Turn 14 reports warehouse stock and manufacturer dropship stock as separate numbers, so pick the quantity field you actually sell against rather than the first one that looks right. This preset carries no field mapping either, so the rows start on the wizard's same-name defaults: run Test connection, repoint every row at your own sample, and set "Records path (optional)" if the rows arrive inside a wrapper. On scheduling, the public guidance treats the main inventory feed as a once a day pull, so start this connection daily and check with your Turn 14 rep before running it more often.

Demo feed

No credentials. The Demo feed URL is prefilled with the app's own built-in endpoint, and there is a Use demo feed button in the Supplier section that selects it for you.

It serves eight sample products, one of them without a barcode on purpose so you can watch the matching key fall back from barcode to SKU. Quantities drift once a minute, so two runs in a row show real differences rather than everything skipping. It is also the only preset that accepts inventory write-back, which makes it the safe place to try a push before you go near a live supplier. Write-back stays off until you ask for it: save the connection, then use Enable write-back in the Supplier write-back (advanced) section of the connection's page.
