Effective date: 23 September 2026.
These Terms of Service (the "Terms") govern your use of Everstock (the "app") and the website at sync.usenormalize.com. Everstock is a supplier inventory, price, and product sync tool for Shopify, built by Normalize, a commerce software studio ("we", "us", "our"). By installing the app on your Shopify store, or by using the website, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not install or use Everstock.
These Terms apply alongside Shopify's own Terms of Service and the agreement you already have with Shopify. They do not replace, override, or reduce those agreements. Your relationship with Shopify is governed by Shopify's terms; these Terms govern only your use of Everstock. Where anything here appears to conflict with Shopify's platform terms as they apply to Shopify's own services, Shopify's terms control that relationship.
Please read the "Availability" section below. Everstock is available on the Shopify App Store.
Availability
Everstock is available to install from the Shopify App Store.
Features may change, be added, or be removed, and continued availability is not guaranteed. Nothing in these Terms should be read to suggest the app is installed by other merchants, rated, or reviewed.
Who this agreement is between
This agreement is between you (the merchant that installs or uses Everstock, acting through the person who accepts these Terms on the merchant's behalf) and Normalize, the company that provides Everstock. In these Terms, "you" and "your" mean the merchant; "we", "us", and "our" mean Normalize.
If you accept these Terms on behalf of a business, you confirm that you are authorized to bind that business to these Terms.
Relationship to Shopify
Everstock is an application built to run on Shopify and to read from and write to your Shopify store through Shopify's Admin API. Everstock is not provided by Shopify, and Shopify is not a party to these Terms.
These Terms sit alongside, and never override, Shopify's own Terms of Service and any other agreement between you and Shopify. You remain responsible for complying with Shopify's terms and policies. If Shopify changes, restricts, or ends its platform, APIs, or your access to them, that may affect Everstock, and we are not responsible for changes outside our control.
What Everstock does
Everstock connects your Shopify store to your suppliers' product feeds and keeps your catalog in sync with those feeds. A supplier feed can be a REST or JSON API, a WooCommerce store, or a CSV or XLSX file: a file at a web address, a Google Sheet, a file you upload, or a file Everstock downloads from an FTP, FTPS, or SFTP server. Its current capabilities are:
- Inventory sync: reading stock quantities from a connected supplier feed and writing them to the matching products and variants at a Shopify location you choose. You choose that location when you create a connection and can change it afterwards; each connection syncs one location. Connections created before this setting existed keep using your store's primary active location until you choose one. What is read and written is the available quantity at that location, which is the stock your storefront can sell. Everstock matches supplier records to your products by barcode first, then by SKU.
- Price sync: optionally writing supplier prices to the matching Shopify variants. You can also set price rules that convert the supplier's currency at a rate you choose, add a markup, and round the result; Everstock applies only the rules you set.
- Product field updates (optional): for supplier items matched to a product you already have, optionally writing the supplier's values onto that product. The fields available are title, description, vendor, product type, tags, images, SEO title, SEO description, compare-at price, cost per item, and weight. Each field is a separate opt-in that is off until you turn it on, and only the fields you turn on are ever written. Images are only ever added, never replaced or removed. None of these fields changes whether a product is published.
- Draft product creation: optionally creating Shopify products, together with their variants, for supplier items that do not yet exist in your store. New products are created as drafts and are never automatically published.
- Variant creation: optionally adding new variants to products you already have.
- Collections: optionally creating Shopify collections from the supplier's categories and adding matched products to them. Collections Everstock creates stay unpublished unless you turn on publishing for new collections, which is off by default. When you turn it on, Everstock publishes the collections it creates to your Online Store sales channel.
- Products no longer in a feed (optional): for a product in your store that a supplier connection synced before and that is now missing from that supplier's feed, you can set a rule that tags the product or sets its status to Draft, which takes it off your storefront. The rule applies only to products that connection synced before, never to another supplier's products or to products of your own. It is off by default, never changes the product's stock, and never deletes the product.
- Preview and history: previewing what a sync would change before anything is written, and a per-run history with a per-record audit trail of what each run changed. Items the app could not safely match are flagged for review instead of being written; you see them in that run's history and on the connection's Unmatched items page.
- Revert: for 30 days after a run that wrote to your store, you can undo what it wrote, either for the whole run or for a single product. A revert is previewed before it is applied. It undoes the run's changes to stock, prices, and product fields, including restoring a product's earlier status, and sets products the run created back to Draft. Variants, images, and collection memberships the run added stay in place.
- Run notifications: emailing your store's contact email about sync runs. By default you are emailed only when a run fails or is held for your review; in the app's settings you can choose an email after every run instead, or none.
- Shopify catalog export: exporting your store's product and variant catalog, including each item's resolved matching key, as a CSV file.
These are the only capabilities Everstock provides today. Everstock does not sync orders, fulfillments, or customers, does not process payments, and does not connect to suppliers over EDI. It never writes anything back to your suppliers: it reads a supplier's feed and writes to your Shopify store, one way only. Everstock never publishes a product on your behalf: products it creates are always drafts, and product field updates never change whether a product is published. The only status changes Everstock makes are ones you turn on or ask for: setting to Draft a product that a connection synced before and that has left its supplier's feed, if you set that rule, and reverting a run. The only thing Everstock publishes is a collection it created for you, and only if you turn that setting on. Everstock never deletes a product, a variant, or an image, and never removes a product from a collection. Do not rely on any capability that is not described above and available in the app you are using.
Eligibility
To use Everstock you must have an active Shopify store and the authority to install and configure apps on it. Everstock authenticates through Shopify and operates on the store you install it on. If your Shopify store is suspended or closed, or your access to it ends, your access to Everstock ends with it.
Your responsibilities
You are responsible for how you set up and use Everstock. In particular:
- Supplier details and credentials. You provide the details of each supplier feed you connect, such as an API address, a file location, or a file you upload, together with any credentials it needs, and you are responsible for their accuracy. Everstock encrypts stored supplier credentials at rest, but it cannot verify that the details you enter are correct or current.
- Authority to use the feeds. You must have the right and the authorization to connect and use each supplier feed you configure, and to sync that supplier's data into your store. You are responsible for your agreements with your suppliers.
- Data you sync. You are responsible for reviewing what Everstock will write (including price changes and the price rules you set, newly created draft products and collections, and any product field updates or rules you have turned on) and for the accuracy of the resulting listings in your store.
- Account security. You are responsible for keeping your Shopify account and store access secure, and for the actions taken by anyone you allow to use them.
Acceptable use
You agree to use Everstock only for its intended purpose (syncing supplier inventory, pricing, and products into your own Shopify store) and in compliance with these Terms, Shopify's terms and policies, and applicable law. You agree not to:
- connect a supplier feed you are not authorized to use, or use Everstock to infringe anyone's rights;
- attempt to access data or stores that are not yours, or use Everstock to bypass Shopify's access controls or API limits;
- interfere with, overload, reverse engineer, or attempt to disrupt or gain unauthorized access to Everstock, its infrastructure, or other users;
- resell, sublicense, or provide Everstock as a service to third parties except as we expressly permit.
How Everstock writes to your store, and your control over it
Everstock writes to your Shopify store, and you control the scope of those writes. Each part of the sync is opt-in and configured per supplier connection:
- Inventory sync, price sync, draft product creation, variant creation, and collections are each enabled or disabled independently on each connection.
- Product field updates are separate toggles, one per field, each off until you turn it on. Turning one on only ever changes the content of a product Everstock already matched, never whether it is published.
- New products are always created as drafts. Everstock never automatically publishes a product to your storefront. You review and publish drafts yourself.
- Collections Everstock creates stay unpublished unless you turn on publishing for new collections, which is off by default.
- The rule for products that are no longer in a supplier's feed is off by default, and covers only products that connection synced before. It only ever tags such a product or sets it to Draft, as you choose.
- You choose when syncs run (manually, or on a schedule), and can set limits such as a quantity cap and a list of SKUs or barcodes to exclude.
- Everstock's writes are limited to the Shopify permissions you grant at install: reading and writing products, inventory, and sales channel publications, and reading locations. It requests no access to orders, fulfillments, or customer data.
You are responsible for the configuration you choose. Everstock's diff engine is designed to avoid unsafe writes (for example, it flags unmatched or unconfirmed items for review in that run's history rather than zeroing stock), but you remain responsible for reviewing sync results in the app's history.
Plans and billing
Everstock offers a free plan and four paid tiers. Every plan runs every feature. The paid tiers differ by how many supplier connections you can have and by how often a connection can sync on a schedule; none of them limits how many products or variants a run syncs. The free plan is limited to manual, on-demand syncs of up to 2,000 products or variants per run. There are five plans:
| Plan | Supplier connections | Products or variants per run | Scheduled syncs |
|---|---|---|---|
| Free | 1 | Up to 2,000 | No, manual only |
| Starter | 1 | No limit | Yes, at most every 6 hours |
| Growth | 5 | No limit | Yes, at most every 2 hours |
| Scale | 20 | No limit | Yes, at most once an hour |
| Unlimited | Unlimited | No limit | Yes, at most once an hour |
The paid plans differ only by connection count and by how often a schedule may run. The free plan additionally excludes scheduled syncs and syncs up to 2,000 products or variants per run. A run counts the products or variants in your store that it syncs, whether or not they change, plus any it would create or add, and supplier items you don't sell and don't create never count. A product with variants counts each variant, and items on the connection's ignore list do not count. If a sync would go over your plan's limit, the whole sync is held: nothing is written to your store and nothing is trimmed. Preview changes is not held, so you can still see what a sync would do. If you move to a paid plan with a slower schedule, any connection scheduled faster than the new plan allows is switched to the fastest schedule that plan allows; nothing else changes and nothing is deleted. In US dollars the plans are Free $0, Starter $9 a month, Growth $29 a month, Scale $79 a month and Unlimited $199 a month; each paid plan also offers an annual option at ten times its monthly price, so two months are free. There is no usage-based billing: you are not charged per sync, per product or per variant, and a held sync is never charged. The prices shown in the Shopify App Store listing and in the app are the ones that apply.
Billing is handled entirely by Shopify App Pricing (Shopify's managed billing for apps). You select and pay for a plan through Shopify, on your Shopify invoice. Everstock never sees, collects, or processes a payment, and stores no payment information; it only reads your current plan status from Shopify to apply your plan's limits. Any billing questions about the charge itself are governed by your agreement with Shopify.
Fair use
One fair use limit applies on every plan, including Unlimited: 50,000 products or variants a run touches, per connection, per run, counted the same way as the plan limit above. It is a safeguard against abuse, not a pricing tier, and no plan buys past it. A sync above fair use is held, nothing is written to your store, and the run asks you to contact support. If a supplier's feed legitimately needs more, contact us. Separate from fair use and from your plan, a supplier feed larger than Everstock can read in one sync, a technical limit that depends on the feed's size and row count, stops the sync with a message and changes nothing.
Cancellation, uninstall, and your data
You can stop using Everstock at any time by changing or cancelling your plan through Shopify, or by uninstalling the app from your Shopify store. Because billing runs through Shopify, cancellation and any proration follow Shopify's billing rules. Cancelling a paid plan returns your store to the free plan; your connections and history are not deleted.
When you uninstall Everstock, we delete your store's stored session, and if your Shopify store is closed we erase the app data we hold for that store. What data Everstock stores, and how it is deleted, is described in our Privacy Policy. Please refer to it for the details.
No warranty
Everstock is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including any implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that Everstock will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of inaccuracies, that any sync will complete or produce a particular result, or that supplier data written to your store will be accurate or current. We do not provide any uptime, response-time, or service-level guarantee.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or exemplary damages, or for any loss of profits, revenue, data, goodwill, or business, arising out of or relating to your use of or inability to use Everstock (including inaccurate inventory or pricing writes, lost or delayed syncs, or incorrectly created products), even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages. To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability arising out of or relating to Everstock is limited to the amount you paid for Everstock through Shopify in the three months before the event giving rise to the claim. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain of these limitations, in which case they apply only to the extent permitted.
Indemnity
You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from claims, damages, liabilities, and reasonable expenses arising out of your use of Everstock in breach of these Terms, your connection or use of a supplier feed you were not authorized to use, the content you sync into your store, or your violation of applicable law or of a third party's rights. We will let you know of any such claim and may participate in its defense.
Changes to the service and to these Terms
Everstock is under active development. We may add, change, or remove features, and, where a change requires additional Shopify permissions, Shopify will ask you to approve the new permissions before they take effect. We may also modify or discontinue parts of the service.
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make a material change, we will update the effective date at the top of these Terms and, where appropriate, notify you. Your continued use of Everstock after a change takes effect means you accept the updated Terms. If you do not agree to a change, stop using Everstock and uninstall the app.
Governing law and disputes
